Free Exercise, Yoga, Tai Chi and Meditation Classes You Can Register For Today

Did you know that mind body activities such as yoga, meditation and exercise are an important part of supportive cancer care?
These activities provide a range of health benefits, both mental and physical and research shows they are a recommended part of cancer treatment and recovery.
Cancer Council WA offers free Life Now exercise, yoga, tai chi and meditation
classes for people living with cancer and their carers. All programs are delivered by experienced facilitators in a safe and supportive environment.
These classes are available free of charge thanks to generous community donations.

Upcoming Life Now classes
Meditation
Meditation is a 6 week course which aims to guide participants through simple techniques to relax the body and calm the mind. Practicing meditation can help improve quality of life for people affected by cancer and assist in reducing anxiety, stress and blood pressure.
Our Life Now Meditation course is commencing in August in Midland, Rockingham, Riverton and Shenton Park.
Yoga is a 6 week course which aims to guide participants through gentle stretching to help improve fitness, flexibility and overall wellbeing. Studies have found that regular yoga practice can improve mood, sleep quality and decrease cancer-related stress.
Our Life Now Yoga course is commencing in August in Glen Forrest, Margaret River and Wangara.
Tai Chi is a 6 week course which aims to bring about a state of calm and clarity through low impact movements and stretching. An experienced facilitator will guide you through this gentle martial art.
Our Life Now Tai Chi course is commencing on 30 July in Wanneroo and 1 August in Busselton.
Exercise is a 12 week individualised program for people who have been diagnosed with cancer, and their carers. The aim of the program is to introduce exercise in a safe and supportive environment to help reduce the effects of cancer treatment and improve strength, fitness and overall quality of life.
Our Life Now Exercise course is commencing in August in: Balga, Bentley, Bunbury, Canning Vale, East Fremantle, Floreat, Joondalup, Leederville, Mandurah, Midland and Rockingham.
